The origins of the Falooda date back to Persia, when it was popular among the Persian population. The dessert then came to India with the many Muslim merchants that travelled to India and made it their home. While not a native recipe of India, the Falooda is still loved by most of the population residing in the country. Cooking Time: 40 Mins
Ingredients:
Soaked Vermicelli 5-10 gm
Fruits Jelly 2-3 tbsp
Soaked Basil / Sabja Seeds 1 tbsp
MAS Rose Drink mix 50-70 ml
Vanilla Ice Cream 1 scoop
Rolled dry fruits As per taste
Rose Syrup 2-3 tbsp
Method:
- Mix the MAS Rose Drink Mix in milk and heat it, then add vermicelli. Stir for 5 minutes on low flame.
- Let it cool to room temperature.
- In a bowl take 1 tbsp of basil/sabja seeds and add 1/2 cup of water to it. Once the seeds have expanded keep it aside.
- First, add 1 tbsp of rose syrup as the first layer, then add cut piece of rose jelly.
Follow it with 1 tbsp of soaked basil/sabja seeds.
Next, add 1-2 tbsp of cooked vermicelli in MAS Rose Drink Mix.
Add 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream and top it off with dry fruits & rose syrup.
